Ethics: The Cornerstone of Academic Research

This column is dedicated to advancing ethical practice and reflection in the fields of psychology and education, with a focus on the essential ethical issues inherent in academic research. We emphasize humanistic care, academic integrity, and social responsibility in the research process, particularly in the following areas:

1.Research Ethics Standards: Study design involving human participants, children, and special populations; informed consent and privacy protection

2.Academic Integrity Development: Authorship norms, data authenticity safeguards, conflict of interest disclosures, mechanisms to prevent academic misconduct

3.Publication Ethics Practice: Peer review ethics, copyright protection, open science policies, transparency and fairness in academic exchange

4.Disciplinary Ethical Development: Ethics-specific issues in psychology and education, such as ethical boundaries in intervention research, educational equity assessment, and ethical constraints in psychological measurement

5.Ethics Education Promotion: Research ethics curriculum design, academic integrity training models, cross-cultural dialogue on ethical awareness

This section welcomes various forms of submissions, including empirical research, theoretical discussions, case studies, commentaries, and review articles. We encourage interdisciplinary and cross-regional dialogue on ethics and particularly welcome contributions addressing ethical challenges and governance considerations arising from emerging technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, big data) in psychological and educational research.

All submissions undergo the journal’s ethics review process and adhere to internationally recognized ethical guidelines (such as the Declaration of Helsinki, COPE guidelines, APA Ethical Principles, etc.). Through rigorous and open discussions, we aim to foster a more inclusive, responsible, and forward-looking academic ethics ecosystem.
