Editorial Independence
The editorial team is responsible for maintaining the academic quality, integrity, and independence of the journal’s editorial process. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance, originality, methodological or argumentative rigor, and ethical compliance.
Editors and editorial board members must not participate in the evaluation of manuscripts where they have a personal, professional, institutional, financial, or other relevant conflict of interest. Such manuscripts will be assigned to an independent editor.
Manuscripts submitted by editors or editorial board members are subject to the same editorial assessment and peer review standards as all other submissions. The submitting individual will not participate in reviewer selection, have access to confidential reviewer reports, or take part in the final editorial decision.
Editorial Board Responsibilities
Editorial board members may contribute to the journal by:
- advising on the journal’s academic direction and scope;
- supporting the identification of qualified independent reviewers;
- reviewing manuscripts within their areas of expertise;
- promoting research integrity and responsible scholarly publishing;
- advising on publication ethics and editorial policy;
- supporting the academic development of the journal.
Membership of the editorial board does not guarantee publication of a member’s own work or the work of associated authors.
