Copyright Ownership
Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors are required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement, granting the journal exclusive publishing rights including reproduction, distribution, online dissemination, and translation rights. Authors retain the rights of attribution, revision, and non-exclusive use for future collected works. Authors funded by specific grants or subject to mandatory open-access policies may apply to sign a Partial Rights Retention Agreement.
Author Rights
Authors are permitted to: 1) archive preprints and published PDFs on personal websites or institutional repositories; 2) use published content without charge in teaching, conferences, and book chapters; 3) conduct further research or reanalyze data based on published work.
Reader and Third-Party Permissions
This journal adopts the CC BY-NC 4.0 open-access license, which: 1) permits non-commercial copying, distribution, and adaptation with proper attribution; 2) prohibits unauthorized commercial use; 3) requires separate authorization and licensing fees for commercial applications.
Reprint and Translation Authorization
Reprints and translations must comply with the following: 1) academic reprints must cite the original source and authors; 2) non-academic reprints require prior written permission; 3) translated versions must include the statement “Translated with permission from The Journal of Psychology & Education” and retain the original DOI.
Permission Application Process
Applications can be submitted by: 1) email to permissions@jpe.org; 2) completing the online Authorization Request Form. Processing timelines are: non-commercial permissions within 3 working days, and commercial permissions within 7 working days for evaluation.
Infringement Handling
The infringement resolution process includes: 1) reporting violations via ethics@jpe.org with supporting evidence; 2) the journal will assist authors in addressing infringement; 3) legal action will be pursued in cases of serious violations.
